No news if often good news. I have no news worth printing. I did read my nieces blog about what it's like to be in California. It made me think of my own kids and how hard it is to start out in life, especially when you don't have a good income. We often take for granted the small things that make us comfortable. Some of the things I have been grateful to have, that in the past I did not; air conditioner (that works), central air vs a small heater we'd gather around in the winter LOL, a car (that works) with tires with tread and a working windshield wiper LOL, food in the frig, a washer and dryer (that works), more then 2 pair of shoes (thongs and tennis), Health insurance (thats a big one), a job that pays above minimum wage, more than 2 pots and pans (skillet and cookie sheet), a whole set of kitchen utensils, glass vs plastic plates to eat on, towels that are thicker then a sheet (I still don't match, but I don't care), more then one set of sheets. I'm sure there are many more, but space is limited. I hope I continue to be aware of all that I've been blessed with and to know I can survive without any of it, if it is is ever taken away.

I really enjoyed my trip to the mountains. I seen my friend and her baby. He is sooo very cute! I went shopping and found something I've always wanted, a wisk for non-stick pans. Funny huh! Anyway, overall I have been blessed and all is well in my life. My sister-in-law has recently been placed in hospice so thats a bit of a downer, but she has been ill and in pain a long time, so in a way, this is better for her. We did get to visit her while she was in the hospital and aware enough to interact with us, which was really nice. She has been a really strong and sweet lady and we will miss her when the lord takes her home.

Another week of summer. It is to be 105 degrees today, nice huh? LOL. Tomorrow I will be going to the mountains to be with my husband for 3 days. It should be a bit cooler up there. This will be a nice leisure visit. Tuesday I visit a friend of mine and her cute little boy. Wednesday I will check out the shops and the casino, just for fun, I'm not a big money gambler but winning at the nickle machine is still fun. Thursday I will go home, but on my way I will visit my mom. Friday, John comes home. So much for my week. It is boring I suppose, but sometimes boring can be nice. Oh, I have recieved my letter from the ELKs. I will now be a member instead of the "wife of a member" LOL. This is cool, because I can now take an active part in what goes on and when. I really like being "in the know", as the spouse you cannot attend any meetings or be on any committees. So this is a cool thing.

Workouts

Well, I tried a new "circuit training" yesterday. I didn't really like it at first. It began with step aerobic type movements (I hate step aerobics LOL), which helped me demonstrate to all the utter lack of coordination I have LOL. It followed with exercises with a huge ball, which again demonstrated my lack of core muscle strength to control the darn thing LOL; however it ended with normal hand weight exercises. I'm good at normal "only one muscle has to work at a time" exercises, hence my need to for the exercises in the first place. I realized in the evening, when I couldn't move my torso without pain, that I really liked the training. I must strive to stick to it, which is something I have never done, regarding exercise that is LOL. So, to help me stick to it I listen to my mp3 player with songs from when I was 18 and had a good body (I think); songs like "Brick house, If you think I'm sexy, Leggs" LOL Yep, the imagination can do wonders for the self-esteem. When I hear those songs I'm not working out, I'm dancing in short shorts, with a hard butt, firm thighs, flat stomach and big firm boobs LOL. I feel better already, now off to my workout and avoiding the reality check of the mirrors LOL.

To the Week ahead LOL

So, I've just came back from my weekend in Las Cruces. Amber performed quite well, of course we would think so : ). There isn't much else to tell. John will go out of town tomorrow. My mom's plans have changed, as they often due within the hour. I thought about airing these plans and changes on the blog, but alas! It would serve no major purpose, but to frustrate the few who need to know what may happen within a days (hours lol) time frame. So, for now, Thank you GOD! for all is well within my spirit, life, health and family.

I think I've got it

My husband and I will be going to see our daughter, Amber, in "Hello Dolly" tomorrow. This will be the last time we can see her before she and Carlos (her boyfriend) go to Germany in July. She will be gone 18 days. She is going to attend the wedding of her foreign exchange sister, Jessica. Monday my husband will go out of town for the week. I may go and join him a day or two or invite my Mom to visit for a few days. Either way, I don't work summers so I must keep myself busy or go nuts LOL.
I just finished reading my neices blogs. This was so cool! I don't know as much about them as I would like. Blogging may be a wonderful way to get to know them better. Well, I'd best get busy doing what needs to be done.
